Our Father Who Art in Heaven: Prayer of Adoration and Praise
O Heavenly Father, who art in heaven, let me enter your courts today with praise and thanksgiving. I praise you for who you are, the One who created heaven and earth, perfect and loving, gracious and merciful. I am your child, whom you love greatly. Unite me to the great family of believers, those here on earth and those who came before me. Lord, I surrender my heart to you, the God of the impossible, for whom nothing is too hard. O Lord, my Father in Heaven, I worship you. Amen.
Matthew 6:9-13 (NIV)
“This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’
Psalm 100:4-5 (NIV)
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
