Prayer for Those Who Mourn

Monday Prayer

A prayer for those who mourn. Pray for God by your side, supporting you through the tears, lifting you up on the good days and the bad.

Prayer for Those Who Mourn

O Lord, my God, I cry out to you in my grief. Some days are so hard and I don’t know how I’ll make it through. Stay close by my side, O Lord, and put the pieces of my broken heart back together. Show me how to keep stepping forward. Deliver me through this season of grief. Help me catch my breath and breathe again. Hear my cries, O Lord, and comfort my grieving heart. Amen.

A prayer for those who mourn. Pray for God by your side, supporting you through the tears, lifting you up on the good days and the bad.

Psalm 34:17-18 (NIV)

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
    he delivers them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
    and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 34:17-18 (MSG)

Is anyone crying for help? God is listening,
ready to rescue you.
If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there;
if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath.

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:17-18
