Lead Us Not Into Temptation: Prayer for Protection from Evil

O Heavenly Father, lead me not into temptation but deliver me from the evil one. Lord, open my eyes to see the temptations and evil in this world for what they are. Give me a discerning heart, eyes that can see clearly, and ears that can hear you. Help me resist the lure of worldly temptations that lead me from you and keep my life firmly rooted in Your Word. Protect my loved ones from temptation and evil, surrounding them with your hedge of protection, O Lord. Help us to suit up in your armor to withstand the forces of evil in this world. Father, lead us away from temptation and protect us from the evil in this world. Amen.

Lead Us Not Into Temptation: Prayer for Protection from Evil. Pray through the Lord's Prayer for God’s help and protection from evil and temptation.

Matthew 6:9-13 (NIV)

“This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread.
 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’

Ephesians 6:10-17 (NIV)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Ephesians 6:10-17
