Prayer for Your Family
Holy and Almighty Lord, I give thanks today for my family. May you fill each of us with your love and lead us closer to you. Help us enjoy our time together, growing closer as a family, reflecting your love into this world. Strengthen our relationships, deepen our faith, and build us up into a stronger family focused on following you. Lord, shower your blessings upon each member of my family, speaking your love deeply into their hearts, and healing all that ails. Lord, be the cornerstone of our family, our firm foundation. Amen.

Psalm 127 (NIV)
1 Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain.
2 In vain you rise early
and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat—
for he grants sleep to[a] those he loves.
3 Children are a heritage from the Lord,
offspring a reward from him.
4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s
5 Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their opponents in court.
Collect
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who settest the solitary in families: We commend to thy continual care the homes in which thy people dwell. Put far from them, we beseech thee, every root of bitterness, the desire of vainglory, and the pride of life. Fill them with faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness. Knit together in constant affection those who, in holy wedlock, have been made one flesh. Turn the hearts of the parents to the children, and the hearts of the children to the parents; and so enkindle fervent charity among us all, that we may evermore be kindly affectioned one to another; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
